Presentation of the SAMPLE project and system for Polish airports

A presentation in the form of a business breakfast was held on January 11, at which the consortium of Ap-Tech, Creotech and the Polish Air Navigation Services Agency presented the System for Automatic Monitoring of Aviation Obstacles and Records (SAMPLE), which is being developed under EU funding. The event was hosted by representatives of Polish airports and the Central Transport Port, and was aimed at learning about the needs of future customers and end users.

After an initial presentation of the project assumptions and the SAMPLE system, PAŻP experts conducted a formal and factual analysis of the current state and possible future solutions related to air obstacles. Bartosz Rybak, Aviation Obstacle Specialist, focused on international and national regulations, including in particular the requirements incumbent on airport operators under ICAO Annexes 14 and 15.

Next, specialists from Ap-Tech and Creotech - Samer Bou Habib, CTO, and Piotr Mazur, Project Manager - presented the future solutions being developed within the SAMPLE Consortium, addressing the problems and challenges facing Polish and foreign airports outlined earlier, focusing particularly on the data used, the results of the analyses obtained to date, and the final products and services of the SAMPLE system.

The presentation was followed by a discussion moderated by Tomasz Klosowicz, Head of Business Development Department of PAŻP, on the practical use of future products and services of the SAMPLE project and system by Polish airports.

The business breakfast organized is the next in a series of events designed to present the assumptions of the project and the SAMPLE system to its future customers and end users. Representatives of AP-Tech, Creotech and PAŻP have already been present at the Dronetech 2022 conference in Toruń, IDE - International Drone Event 2022 in Kielce and the National Civil Aviation Safety Conference 2022 in Warsaw, among others.
